The 78 Cards

Each page tells you what is in the picture, what the card means when it comes up the right way, and what it means when it comes up reversed. Where a card has also had its own Tarot Card of the Week post, the page links to it, so you can see the card at work on a real week.

Use these pages the way you would use a good dictionary. Look a card up after you have looked at it. The five questions on the How to Read a Card page come first: Major or Minor, suit, number, court card, picture. You will often find you already know most of what the page is about to tell you.

The reversed meanings all follow the approach on the Reversed Cards page. A reversed card keeps its own energy, and something has happened to it: it is blocked, held inside, out of balance or slow to arrive. The heavy cards stay a mirror, upright or reversed.
