Daily Posts

I write to the group every single day, and every post lands here.

That has been true since the group began, and it will stay true for as long as I am able to sit at a keyboard. Some days it is a piece of teaching I have been carrying around for a week. Some days it is one line and a picture, because one line was all it needed. Some days it is a question, and the group does the rest of the writing in the comments, which is often the best part.

What the week looks like

There is a shape to it, and once you know the shape you can find what you are after.

Monday is the week ahead. Every sign, three systems read together, with what the week is asking of you in plain words. Themes and guidance, never fortune telling. If you want to know why Tuesday felt like wading through treacle, Monday's post usually explains it.

Tuesday and Wednesday are teaching, or a thought to sit with. This is where the Library material first appears, live, in whatever order life happens to bring it up.

Thursday is a tarot card. One card, one teaching, read the way I would read it for you. If you have wondered what a reading with me is like, Thursday is the closest you will get without booking one.

Friday is often a question. The kind that quietly reveals something about the person answering it. Read the comments on those. People are braver than they know.

Saturday follows the sky. A full moon, a new moon, an equinox, a planet turning around, and what each of those asks of you. When nothing much is happening overhead, Saturday is whatever needs saying.

Sunday is the long read. The flagship piece of the week, the one I take my time over. If you only read one post a week, make it Sunday's.

How to read this page

Start with today's and work backwards, or use the categories to find the ones about what you are living through right now.

If someone has just walked out of your life, look under Relationships and Guidance. If you keep picking up other people's moods and cannot put them down, look under Your Abilities and Energy Work. If you are carrying something heavy and old, The Inner Work is where I keep that material, and it is in here too, dated, in the order I wrote it.

Why every day

People ask why I do not just write when I have something to say.

Chop wood, carry water. The daily ordinary practice is the practice, and that is as true of writing as it is of meditation. If I only wrote when the mood took me, you would get a burst in spring and silence by June, and I would have taught you that this work is something you do when you feel like it. It is the opposite. The days I sit down with nothing and find something are the days that keep me sharp, and they are often the posts people write to me about months later.

There is a second reason. Some of you read these at five in the morning before the house wakes up, and some at midnight when it will not settle. Knowing there will be something there, every day, without fail, is a small steady thing in a week that may not have many. I can give you that. So I do.

Where they come from

The Perth Spiritual Learning group on Facebook is where every one of these is born.

I write there first, because that is where the people are, and because the comments are half the teaching. Something I post as a settled idea on a Wednesday gets taken apart by somebody with a better question by Wednesday night, and the answer I write back is often the thing I should have said in the first place. That conversation stays on Facebook. The post itself comes here, so that anyone can find it whether or not they use Facebook, and so that it does not disappear under the next day's the way things do over there.

If you would like to be part of the conversation, ask to join the group. It is free, it is open, and the people in it are kind.

What I ask of you

Read what calls you and leave the rest.

If a post lands, sit with it for a day before you decide what you think. If a post annoys you, that is worth a second look too, because the ones that annoy us are usually the ones that have found something. And if you have a story that belongs alongside a post, or a question the post did not answer, the group is the place for it. That is how this whole thing has always worked.

Please share any stories or ask any questions.

Love you all.
