The 78 Cards
Page of Swords
Minor Arcana, the suit of Swords, the Page. Element: air.

A quick, curious mind with a lot of questions.
The picture
A young figure stands on a rise of ground, holding a sword upright in both hands. Their hair blows back in the wind, and they look off to one side as if something has caught their attention. Clouds roll behind them, a flock of small birds flies high in the sky, and in the distance trees bend in the wind.
Upright
The Page is the student and the messenger of the suit. In Swords, that means the curious mind: questions, ideas, research, a new skill being learnt, and news that arrives in words. An email, a phone call, a conversation that tells you something you did not know.
The Page stands on high ground, where the wind is strongest, and ideas blow in from every direction. Alert, eager, a little restless, sword up and ready before anything has actually happened. There is a lot of energy here and not much experience yet, which is exactly what a student is for.
A court card can be a person in your life, an approach you are taking, or a part of you. The age and gender of the figure do not limit who it describes. This Page could be the sharp eyed child who asks why about everything, the new colleague with a hundred questions, or the part of you that simply wants to find out.
Reversed
Reversed, I read the Page as too much or blocked. Too much is the quick mind with nowhere useful to go: gossip, all talk and no follow through, clever words that sting, a head so busy it cannot settle on one thing. Blocked is news that is slow to arrive, a course that stalls, a question you keep meaning to ask and never quite do.
To tell which, listen to how much you are talking. If the words are running ahead of the facts, it is too much, and the fix is to listen for a while. If everything has gone quiet and you are waiting, it is blocked, and it may be time to send the message yourself.
When it turns up
What question are you ready to ask out loud?
