Kin 6 is White Worldbridger with tone 6, and the sign returns every twenty days. Sarah Jane Mitchell, the invented woman who appears across the numerology pages, was born on 14 March 1987 and is kin 106, White Worldbridger with tone 2, Lunar.

The nature of the sign

Cimi is death, and the Maya meant it the way a farmer means it. The old crop comes down so the new one can go in. A door closes so another can open. Death, in this sign, is the threshold between one world and the next, and the Worldbridger is the one who stands in the doorway and helps people through.

The modern name says it well. A bridge joins two places that could not otherwise meet: two cultures, two sides of an argument, the living and the dead, the head and the heart. Someone has to build it. This sign does.

In my experience Worldbridgers have usually had their own losses early, and learned from them the art of letting go and starting again. That is where the gift comes from. You cannot help someone across a river you have never crossed.

Who you are

You see both sides, by reflex. You can hold a position opposite to your own in your mind and understand it from the inside without feeling threatened, and that makes you rare.

You are diplomatic and flexible, and you meet people where they are rather than where you would like them to be. You do not judge easily. You are interested in change, in what needs to end and what is trying to be born in any situation, and you have good instincts about which is which.

You carry a certain gravity. People who are going through something large tend to find you, and you tend to know what to do with them.

Strengths

You make peace. In a family, a workplace, a community split down the middle, you are the one who can sit with both camps and find the ground they share. You translate, literally or otherwise, between people who have stopped hearing each other.

You are also the steady presence in someone else's worst year. Grief, divorce, illness, the ending of a long chapter: you do not run from these. You stay, and you know that the person in front of you will come out the other side different, and you can hold that for them when they cannot.

Challenges

The shadow of a bridge is losing its own footing. You can be so flexible that you forget where you stand, so busy understanding everyone else that your own view goes missing. Learn to say what you think and to stay there while other people disagree. A bridge needs two solid banks, and one of them is you.

The other shadow is building bridges that should not be built. Some things need to end. Some people need to go. The Worldbridger who keeps everyone connected at any cost can quietly stop a necessary death from happening, and that is not kindness, however much it feels like it.

Commitment can be hard for this sign, because you can always see another possibility. That is worth knowing about yourself.

In love and work

In love you are open and accepting. Your partner's need to change, to try on a new self, to go through something dark, does not frighten you. You can walk beside someone through a long transition and still be there at the end of it. Closeness for you carries a sense of exchange, two people meeting across a gap, and you tend to want a partner who sees it the same way.

You need someone who values your gift for seeing all sides and who is willing to grow alongside you rather than stay put. Your friends are often people in the middle of a big change, and you are the one holding the torch while they rebuild.

At work you belong where connection and transition are the job: counselling, mediation, grief work, teaching across cultures, healing, any kind of translation. You struggle in roles that make you take a side and hold it no matter what. Put a Worldbridger where two worlds need joining and the work does itself.

Your sign across the tones

Every White Worldbridger also carries one of the thirteen tones, and the tone changes how the sign is lived. The Thirteen Tones page covers each one in full.

With a low tone, 1 to 4, the bridge is still being built. Tone 1 Worldbridger knows exactly which two shores it is here to join. Tone 2, Sarah's tone in the example above, lives the tension of standing between two sides and learning to hold both without falling, and tones 3 and 4 get the first planks across and then make the structure sound.

With a middle tone, 5 to 9, the bridge is carrying traffic. Tone 6 Worldbridger is the natural mediator, feeling every imbalance and gently correcting it. Tone 7 senses what is unsaid on both banks, and tone 8 understands how one crossing changes the whole shape of a family or a community.

With a high tone, 10 to 13, the sign is ripening. Tone 11 knows which bridges to take down. Tone 12 brings whole groups across together, and tone 13 White Worldbridger, kin 26, has made the crossing so many times that endings hold no fear at all.

Across the traditions

White Worldbridger sits in the white family, the five signs that refine what the red signs begin. If you know your Western chart, you will recognise something of Scorpio and the eighth house here, the places where Western astrology talks about endings and what comes after, and the Western Astrology section covers both. The Chinese Astrology section and the Vedic Astrology section describe the peacemaker and the one who lets go in their own language, and both are worth reading beside this page.
