Your Abilities

You already have them.

I have taught this for forty years and I have not yet met a person who had no psychic ability. I have met plenty who were talked out of it as children, which is a different thing.

This area is about the senses you were born with and mostly told to ignore. The clairs, which are seeing, hearing, feeling and even smelling things that are not in the room. Psychometry, reading the story held in an object. Mediumship, and what it actually is once you take the theatre out of it. Seeing auras, which is far easier than the books make it sound. Reading people, reading animals, and the quiet way empathy grows into something more.

And the piece I would start with, because it answers the question every single student asks in their first week. How do I know if what I am getting is real, or just my own head?

I call the noise Monkey Mind. The random thoughts, the doubts, the second guessing, the worry that you are making it up. The method for telling the two apart is a habit of noticing rather than a meditation or a rule. When a message arrives, note the feeling in your body that came with it. Follow it to the outcome. If it was right, remember that feeling. If it was Monkey Mind, remember that one. Do it for a few months and your body will answer the question before your head gets a vote.

Everything else in here builds on that.

The pieces in this area

There are seventeen pages here. Monkey Mind comes first for the reason above, and the rest follow in the order I would take them.

Monkey Mind is the method in full. What the noise is, the two ways it trips people up, and the five steps of the process of elimination. It looks at where the noise lives, in the human mind my Mind Switch post describes, and at the things that quieten it, from daily meditation to reading the faces in oncoming cars. It finishes with using the same body sense to make a decision.

The Clairs goes through the clear senses one at a time. Clairsentience, feeling the vibe in a room. Clairaudience, hearing what has no source. Clairscentience, smelling what is not there. Clairvoyance, seeing in the mind's eye. It adds knowing something before it happens, and how to tell any of them from your own head.

Psychometry is reading the story held in an object. Your grandmother's ring, the flower reading and the photograph, how the impressions arrive, asking first and grounding afterwards. It ends with why the object turns out to be training wheels. It is one of the shorter pages here.

Mediumship keeps to the plain parts. How messages come through the clairs, why those in spirit have their own lives, and the simplest way to reach someone yourself, which is asking them to visit in a dream. It sets out the one rule about spirit attachment, grounding and protection, and transfiguration.

Seeing Auras gives the method step by step: light behind you, look just over the shoulder, let your eyes go into the thousand mile stare, and wait for the ghosting and then the colour. It adds Magic Eye pictures for practising the look, the energy ball test, finding your own colour from your wardrobe, and what gets in the way.

Reading People starts from the gut reaction you already have when you meet someone. Being the observer of yourself, the flashes from your own past that act as references, describing what you get instead of hunting for the exact word, and keeping Monkey Mind out of it. It covers practising from a photo with permission, and why reading yourself is so often harder than reading others.

Reading Animals begins with the sense you already have with a pet. Affinity, my own cats, the way animals respond to you as you grow, and reading an animal with the same body method. It covers sending love to an anxious animal, and animals in spirit, including the spirit animal that visited me around the year 2000.

Empathy comes next. The practice of asking someone how they really feel and listening to the answer, how empathy leads into clairsentience, why empaths come away drained, and the fix of coming through the crown.

Astral Travel starts from dreams as a halfway house and goes one step further, to leaving the body awake and aware. It covers what people report, the vibrations, the paralysis and the silver cord, a gentle way to try it, and grounding when you come back.

Pendulums comes after it. Why a pendulum moves, setting up your own yes and no, the questions it answers well, and the ones to leave alone.

The Ageless Being Inside asks what lens you look at a person through. Where the lens comes from, the soul in the costume, how to look past it, and what changes when you turn it on yourself.

Being Intuitive is the quiet knowing everyone came in with. What intuition feels like, why the problem is the noise, learning the difference, trusting it, and what to do when nothing comes.

A Spirit Animal Visit tells the story of the spirit animal that came to me around the year 2000 and what I found afterwards. It covers what a spirit animal is, how they show up, and why it pays not to go looking too hard.

Transfiguration Mediumship is the ability you rarely hear about, where the face of someone in spirit shows itself over the face of the medium. Why it needs dim light, my own experience, sitting to watch, and what to do if you think you have the gift.

Protecting Your Energy as an Empath is the practical follow on from Empathy, for the three places it bites hardest: crowds, work and family. It starts with the one thing first and sits beside medical care.

Spirit Animals and Animal Messengers separates two things people mix up. A word about totems, the Australian messengers, how to read an animal messenger, and meeting your own spirit animal.

Palm Reading Basics closes the area with the reading tool at the end of each arm. A little history, which hand, the four hand shapes, the four main lines and the mounts, and how I would start.

Where to begin

Start with the elimination, and keep it up for a few months. Every page here comes back to the same habit. Note the sensation, follow it to the outcome, keep what was real.

The basics are what every ability stands on, and to this day I still practise mine several times a day. You do not have to force any of these senses. You were born with them, and all you are doing is remembering how they work.

If you would like this read against your own chart, my readings are here.
