Your Personality number

This is the last of the three numbers that come from your name.

Your Destiny number is every letter.

Your Soul Urge is the vowels, what you want underneath.

Your Personality number is the consonants, and it is the one everybody else sees.

Think of it as the front door.

Your Soul Urge lives inside the house.

Your Personality is what a stranger sees from the footpath, and it decides whether they knock.

Some books call it the Outer Personality and some call it the Impression, and both names tell you what it does.

It is the version of you that walks into a room before you have said a word.

Here is how you find it.

Write out your full name as it was given at birth, middle names included.

Cross out the vowels, A, E, I, O and U.

Then the Y rule, because somebody will ask.

Y counts as a vowel only when it is sitting between two consonants, like the Y in Lynn.

If it has a vowel on either side of it, like the Y in Hayes or in Taylor, it is a consonant, and it counts here.

Now give every consonant its number.

B is 2, C is 3, D is 4, F is 6, G is 7, H is 8.

J is 1, K is 2, L is 3, M is 4, N is 5, P is 7, Q is 8, R is 9.

S is 1, T is 2, V is 4, W is 5, X is 6, Y when it counts is 7, and Z is 8.

Add them up and reduce to a single digit, unless you land on 11, 22 or 33, which stand as Master Numbers.

And if the total before you reduce it is 13, 14, 16 or 19, make a note, because that is a Karmic Debt on the front door, and we covered those last month.

A worked example.

Daniel Peter Hayes.

Daniel has D, N and L, which is 4 plus 5 plus 3, so 12.

Peter has P, T and R, which is 7 plus 2 plus 9, so 18.

Hayes has H, Y and S, the Y counting as a consonant because it sits between two vowels, which is 8 plus 7 plus 1, so 16.

12 and 18 and 16 make 46, and 4 plus 6 is 10, and 1 plus 0 is 1.

Daniel’s Personality is 1.

So the first thing a room sees when Daniel walks in is a 1, somebody who looks capable, independent and a bit in charge, whether or not he feels it.

Now do his vowels, the way we did a fortnight ago, and his Soul Urge comes out at 4, which wants steady ground and no fuss.

So the room meets a leader, and the man inside would rather be building a shed.

That gap is where a lot of the misunderstandings in a life come from, and now he can see it.

A one line taste of each.

1 walks in looking capable and independent, and people hand it the job.

2 walks in looking gentle and easy to talk to, and people tell it things.

3 walks in looking bright and fun, and people expect to be entertained.

4 walks in looking solid and reliable, and people expect it to be on time.

5 walks in looking interesting and a bit restless, and people expect a story.

6 walks in looking warm and responsible, and people bring it their problems.

7 walks in looking private and hard to read, and people wonder what it is thinking.

8 walks in looking like it owns the place, and people assume it has money.

9 walks in looking wise and a little worn, and people assume it has been through things.

And 11, 22 and 33 walk in carrying the voltage from the start of the series, and people feel it before they can say what it is.

The two names rule, one last time.

Your birth name is the blueprint.

If you have changed your name, work out the consonants of the current name as well, because the front door you show the world today may be a different colour to the one you were born with.

And that is the name trio done.

Destiny, what you brought.

Soul Urge, what you want.

Personality, what they see.

Put the three side by side and notice where they agree and where they argue, because the argument between them is most of what a name reading is.

What is your Personality number, and does it match what people tell you they thought when they first met you?
