Your Destiny number

Time for the next number in the series.

So far we have done the Master Numbers, your Life Path, and the Karmic Debts. All three of those came out of your date of birth.

Today the numbers come from your name.

Your Destiny number, which some books call your Expression number, is the sum of every letter in your full name.

Your Life Path is the road you are walking. Your Destiny is what you brought to walk it with, the talents, the pull, the thing you are here to express.

Here is how to find it.

Every letter has a value from 1 to 9, and the pattern is easy.

A B C D E F G H I are 1 to 9.

J K L M N O P Q R start again at 1 to 9.

S T U V W X Y Z are 1 to 8.

Write out your full name, the one on your birth certificate, all of it, middle names included. Put the number under every letter.

Add them all up, then reduce to a single digit, and the rule from the start of the series still holds. If you land on 11, 22 or 33 on the way, stop there, it is a Master Number and it stays.

Let me walk one through.

Say your name is Sarah Louise Wilson.

Sarah is 1 plus 1 plus 9 plus 1 plus 8, which is 20.

Louise is 3 plus 6 plus 3 plus 9 plus 1 plus 5, which is 27.

Wilson is 5 plus 9 plus 3 plus 1 plus 6 plus 5, which is 29.

20 plus 27 plus 29 is 76. 7 plus 6 is 13, and 1 plus 3 is 4.

Now a one line taste of each.

1 came here to lead and to stand on its own feet.

2 came here to partner, to feel, and to bring people together.

3 came here to express, to create and to lift the room.

4 came here to build something that lasts.

5 came here to move, to change, and to taste it all.

6 came here to care, to nurture and to hold a home together.

7 came here to seek, to study and to go inward.

8 came here to manage, to lead in the material world and to master money and power.

9 came here to serve, to give, and to let go.

And 11, 22 and 33 carry the voltage I wrote about at the start of the series.

Now a thing that surprises people.

Your Life Path can never change, because your date of birth never changes.

Your Destiny can.

If you have changed your name, by marriage, by choice, or by dropping a name you never liked, then you have two Destiny numbers. The name on your birth certificate is the blueprint you arrived with. The name you sign today is the one doing the work right now.

Do both.

The birth name tells you what you brought, and the current name tells you what you are currently expressing with it.

Some of you will find they match. Some of you will find you married into a completely different number, and suddenly a lot of things make sense.

So do the sum.
