Just after midday on Friday 28 August, at 12:13 Perth time, the Full Moon reaches its peak at 5 degrees of Pisces.
And this Full Moon is a partial lunar eclipse.
It happens in our daytime, while the moon is below our horizon, so we will not see it from Perth. We do not need to. Eclipse energy has never needed an audience.
Cast your mind back a fortnight.
On 13 August the total solar eclipse arrived, the biggest sky event of the year, and I wrote then that it was a door opening.
Every eclipse season works in pairs. The solar eclipse plants. The lunar eclipse releases.
Today is the answering half, the eclipse that closes what the last one opened.
This is also the sixth eclipse in the long Virgo and Pisces series the sky has been working through, so the theme is a familiar one by now. Virgo tends what is real. Pisces releases what is finished.
A Full Moon in an ordinary month is already a moment of culmination and letting go. A lunar eclipse turns that release up.
And in Pisces, the deepest of the water signs, what leaves tends to be the soft stuff.
Old grief.
Old guilt.
The story you have told about yourself for so long that it feels like fact.
The numbers agree, because August is a Universal Month 9, the number of completion, and this eclipse lands in its final days.
Everything in the sky and the numbers is saying the same word.

So today, no rituals required.
Find a quiet moment around midday if you can. Name one thing you are ready to set down. Say thank you to it, because it got you here. And leave it behind as the season closes.

There is no fear in any of this.
An eclipse only ever asks for what is already finished.
