This week the cards drew The Sun.
And they drew it for this morning of all mornings.
A few hours ago, at 1:36 AM Perth time on Thursday 13 August, the Moon covered the Sun in a total solar eclipse, in Leo, the Sun’s own sign. And the deck answered with the Sun’s own card.
The chart and the cards are two languages describing the same soul, and this morning they are saying the same word.
Look at the image.
A child rides a white horse out of a walled garden, arms open, wearing nothing but a crown of flowers. Behind the wall, sunflowers turn their faces up. Above it all, the Sun blazes with a human face, utterly unbothered.
The Sun is the card of light after the dark. Not light that never wavered. Light that went away, and came back.
That is what happened in the sky this very morning. For a few minutes the day went dark over the far side of the world, and then the light returned, as it always does.
The child on the horse is the teaching. Unguarded, unarmoured, riding out of the walled garden with nothing to prove and nothing to hide.
The Sun asks you to be seen. Not performed, not polished. Seen.
Whatever the eclipse planted in you overnight, this card says it grows best in the open.
So today, let something show. The idea you have been sitting on, the warmth you usually ration, the plain happy truth you keep toning down.
The wall in the card has a gate, and the child has already ridden through it.
What would you do today if you knew the light was on your side?
