The Capricorn Full Moon

Tonight, Tuesday 30 June, the Moon comes full in Capricorn, and she does not arrive quietly. She comes on the same morning Mercury turns back on itself and Jupiter steps into Leo, so she is the still centre of a very loud day.

A Full Moon is always a culmination. It is the moment a cycle that began at the new moon reaches its peak, when whatever has been growing in the dark finally stands in full light.

In Capricorn, the sign of mountains, structure and the long climb, she asks a steady, grown up question.

What have you been building, and is it still the thing you actually want at the top of the hill?

Capricorn is the part of us that sets goals, carries responsibility and keeps climbing long after others have stopped. That is a strength. But sometimes we reach a summit only to find we were climbing the wrong mountain all along.

This Full Moon is the place you get to be honest about that.

She shines a cool, clear light on the structures of your life, your work, your duties, the rules you live by, the goals you set yourself years ago and never questioned again. And she asks you to release whatever no longer belongs.

A title you have outgrown.

A standard you keep failing because it was never fair to begin with.

A responsibility that was never truly yours to carry.

Full Moons are for letting go, and this one hands you permission to set down a weight you have been hauling uphill for too long.

With Mercury turning retrograde the very same morning, the invitation is doubled. Look back before you decide. Go gently, sleep on the big choices, and let the next two or three weeks show you what is real.

You do not have to act tonight. You only have to be honest tonight.

Sit with her light for a moment. Ask yourself what you are quietly proud of, and let yourself feel it. Then ask what you are ready to put down, and begin to loosen your grip.

What are you ready to release under this Full Moon?
