This week the cards drew the Star, and her timing could not be kinder.
We have just come through a heavy sky, a Full Moon, Mercury turning back, a lot to feel and release. And here she is, the card that always comes after the storm.
In the old pictures the Star is a woman kneeling by a pool under a clear night sky, pouring water gently onto the land and back into the water. One foot rests on the earth, one foot in the water, body and soul both tended. Above her, a single bright star and seven smaller ones.
The Star is the card of hope, healing and quiet renewal. She turns up when you have been through something, to tell you the worst of it has passed and the light is coming back.
Where the cards last week asked you to receive, and the Full Moon asked you to release, the Star simply asks you to rest and trust. She has nothing to prove and nowhere to rush. She knows that healing cannot be forced, only allowed.
If this past week has worn you down, she is your card.
She says you are being gently put back together, even if you cannot feel it yet. She says keep pouring a little goodness back into your own life, the way she pours water onto the ground.
Small things. Water, sleep, sunlight, honest company, time in your own quiet.
And she says hope is not naive. Hope is what you reach for once you have seen the dark clearly and chosen the light anyway.
So let this be a softer week. Drink some water, get some early nights, and let yourself believe that things are quietly turning toward the better.
Where in your life could you use a little hope right now?
