This week the cards drew Temperance.
And they drew it for a morning when the Moon reaches her First Quarter in Scorpio at 10:46 Perth time, the moment of commit and adjust. Once again the chart and the cards are speaking the same language.
Look at the image.
An angel stands with one foot on land and one foot in the water, pouring water endlessly between two cups. Neither cup empties. Neither cup wins. The pouring itself is the point.
Temperance is the card of blending. It arrives when your life holds two things that have not yet learned to live together.
The old routine and the new beginning. The person you were and the person the eclipse invited you to become. What you owe others and what you owe yourself.
Temperance does not choose between them. It stands with a foot in each world and pours, patiently, until the two become one thing, a mixture that did not exist before.
Notice that the angel is in no hurry. There is a path behind them winding away to a rising sun, but they are not on it yet. The blending comes first.
That is this week’s teaching.
Last week’s eclipse gave many of us something new to carry. The temptation now is to force it, to throw out the old life overnight, or to give up because the new thing does not fit yet.
Temperance says neither.
Pour steadily between the cups. A little of the new into each ordinary day, a little of the ordinary into the new dream, until you cannot tell where one ends and the other begins.
That is how real change actually happens. Not in the dramatic moment, but in the patient mixing afterwards.
