This week the cards drew the Seven of Pentacles.
And they drew it for a morning when the moon reaches her Last Quarter in Taurus, the great sign of the earth. The card and the moon arrived speaking the same language.

A farmer leans on his hoe, chin resting on his hands, gazing at the vine he has been tending. Seven pentacles hang on it like fruit.
He is doing something we almost never allow ourselves to do. He has stopped working, and he is assessing.
The Seven of Pentacles is the card of the pause before the harvest. It asks the questions we avoid while we are busy.
Is this growing the way I hoped? Is the effort I am pouring in coming back to me? Which of these vines deserves another season, and which one have I been watering out of habit?
That last question is the heart of it.
Some things in your life are nearly ready, and just need patience. Some things were finished long ago, and just need admitting.
The farmer cannot tell the difference while he is hacking away at the soil. He can only tell from the pause.
So this week, in this 9 month of harvest and completion, take his pose. Step back from one corner of your life and simply look at it. No fixing, no forcing, just an honest look at what has grown.
Then trust what you see.
