In our lives we have people who have been taken from us and have crossed the rainbow bridge. We have been left with a feeling of wanting more and that they left before we believe they should have gone. Which is never. We are left with a huge gaping hole that is insurmountable and the question “Why?” that never seems to be answered. We become fundamentally changed in ways that cannot be measured and a deep longing for things to be different.
From a human perspective, it is totally CRAP. Although that word doesn’t do it justice, there are no real adjectives that do. And so we go from day to day, week to week, month to month, year to year looking for a way to move forward but never seeming to get any traction on that journey.
We are left with a legacy of memories that seem to fade too quickly and a longing for things to be different.
In short, we didn’t ask for this. Nor do we want it.
And yet here we are in this situation trying to make sense of a puzzle that seems to be unsolvable.
So I will share with you my experience in this in the hope that it helps you too.
I had a close childhood friend called Ian. He lived over the road from me. Our families were close. I essentially grew up with him and even though we weren’t related, I considered him like a brother. We were still teenagers when he was taken. It was a sudden and tragic accident that took him. I still miss him to this day.
I now know that it was his time. I don’t like that it was his time, but I do recognise that his time here was never meant to be long term. I used to think of all the adventures we could have had which are now lost to the realms of imagination.
I can however say that the thoughts of him during the years were fundamental in some of my early spiritual growth. I can attribute some of my growth as a human to thoughts of him. I can absolutely say that his influence over my life has been a positive one, even though he wasn’t here physically. I absolutely know he gave me guidance at times when I was lost. I didn’t recognise it at the time. I do now.
I can honestly say him leaving us when he did left a legacy with me that was absolutely for my higher good. Although it has taken me many many years to understand that, I can now see the positive influences his passing gave to me.
Losing someone sucks. No words can ease that pain. And it never seems fair.
I can say with all sincerity that being able to say he was my soul brother and I loved him is cathartic. I can also say that his passing was fundamental in moving my timeline in a direction it would never have taken without his death. Only years later can I say that I am grateful for that path change and where it has led me today. I can see that he agreed to help my spirit learn by leaving when he did. The human in me still struggles with that though.
So what I want to say is remember that at some point before you incarnated that you had a soul agreement. It’s unlikely the human in you will like it. The spirit being inside you will understand it and will be reunited with them when you take your own journey over the rainbow bridge.
I hope that helps.
All of the above is said with deep love for everyone.
