Two weeks ago, on 22 September, we did your Destiny number, the sum of every letter in your name.
Today we split the name in half.
Your Soul Urge number comes from the vowels only. A, E, I, O and U, and Y when it is doing a vowel’s job, like the Y in Lynn.
Some books call it the Heart’s Desire, and that is a fair name for it.
Your Life Path is the road.
Your Destiny is what you brought to walk it with.
Your Soul Urge is what you want, underneath everything, when nobody is asking.
Here is how you find it.
Write out your full name as it was given at birth.
Pick out the vowels, give each one its number, and add them up.
A is 1, E is 5, I is 9, O is 6, U is 3, and Y when it counts is 7.
Reduce the total to a single digit, unless you land on 11, 22 or 33, in which case stop, because that is a Master Number and it stands.
And if the total before you reduce it is 13, 14, 16 or 19, make a note, because that is a Karmic Debt sitting in your heart’s desire, and we talked about those last month.
A worked example.
Michael James Carter.
Michael has I, A and E, which is 9 plus 1 plus 5, so 15.
James has A and E, so 6.
Carter has A and E, so 6.
15 and 6 and 6 make 27, and 2 plus 7 is 9.
Michael’s Soul Urge is 9.
Underneath whatever his Life Path and Destiny say he is here to do, what his heart actually wants is the 9, to give, to finish things, to be of use to more people than just himself. He may not know that about himself.
His name does.
Now, the two names rule, because somebody will ask.
Your birth name is the blueprint.
If you have changed your name since, by marriage, by choice, by anything, the new name is an overlay, a second set of wants sitting over the first.
Work out both, and notice where they agree and where they pull.
One more thing, and it is why I have put this post in this particular week.
Venus turned retrograde on Saturday, and for six weeks the sky is asking you what you actually want.
Your Soul Urge is the same question, answered by your own name.
Work it out, and see whether the vowels agree with Venus.
What is your Soul Urge number, and does it sound like you?
