The First Quarter Moon in Sagittarius

The First Quarter Moon arrived at 4:43 this morning, Saturday 19 September, Perth time, at 26 degrees of Sagittarius.

Most of us were fast asleep for it.

Look at the picture, because the picture is the teaching.

Half of that moon is lit and half of it is dark.

That is the whole message of a First Quarter.

We are halfway between the New Moon that opened this cycle and the Full Moon that will complete it. You planted something eight days ago. By now you have found out what it is going to cost you.

That is the design working exactly as intended.

The First Quarter is the moment a moon cycle asks you to stop intending and start deciding.

And here is the part I find honest about it.

You have to decide on half the information.

That is what a half lit moon means. You can see enough of the situation to act, and not enough to be certain, and the cycle asks you to move anyway.

If you wait for the whole picture you will be waiting until the Full Moon, and by then the moment for this particular decision has gone.

Now, Sagittarius.

Sagittarius is the archer, and an archer aims at something a long way off. So when the resistance turns up today, the Sagittarian instruction is to lift your eyes.

Do not stand there staring at the obstacle. Look back at the target and ask whether it is still the right one.

If it is, then the obstacle is only terrain, and terrain is negotiable. If it is not, then today is a very good day to find that out and change the aim.

Either way you get to stop wondering.

So here is the practice for today.

Name the thing that has pushed back on you this week. Then make one decision about it, today, on the information you actually have. Adjust the plan or recommit to it, but do not leave it hanging.

Sagittarius has very little patience for hanging.

The Sun crosses into Libra on Wednesday 23 September and the year comes into balance, and that is a much nicer crossing to make with your mind already made up.

What are you deciding today?
