Whenever I talk to people about their spiritual growth, I ask what they want to achieve with it.
The answers are nearly always the same.
I want to learn more about my abilities.
I want to discover what my abilities are.
I want more of this in my life.
I want to help people.
These are all great and wonderful intents, but they are not goals. They are vague desires, and there lies the problem. There is nothing tangible to aim at.
So what happens is a long stretch of random learning, random books, random workshops, and a growing feeling that nothing is really progressing.
That feeling of stagnation nearly always comes down to one missing thing, a defined goal.
Now I can hear you saying, but I do not have a goal, because I do not know what my options are.
My answer: make it your goal to discover what your options are.
How do I do that?
Make it your goal to find a source that will help you learn what your options are.
You see, the universe ALWAYS answers when you genuinely ask for direction. In my experience it is almost always within a few days to a week of the asking. A book finds you, a person mentions something in passing, a post appears at exactly the right moment.
Say you discover that one of your options is healing. That does not mean it is your only option, it simply means it is one of the abilities you have a natural gift for. So the next goal, while staying open to more, is to find a source to learn about that gift.
And now you are moving.
You are driving your own bus down a road you chose, and your thirst for learning will do the rest. You will find a teacher, or a class, or a practice, and either you will go deep on that path or a bigger picture will emerge that calls you more.
Both outcomes are wins.
One practical habit to finish.
Write your goals down and keep them with you. Read them in the morning, during the day and before sleep. This keeps you attracting what you need to achieve them, and it shows you quickly when a goal needs adjusting.
If you cannot work out where to start, ask me or send me a message and I will help you find what fits with you.
So, where are you going from here?
