Yesterday morning, Monday 27 July, while most of Perth was still asleep, Saturn stopped dead in the sky.
Planets do not really stop or go backwards, it is a trick of perspective as the Earth overtakes them. But astrology has always read that pause as something real in us, and Saturn’s pause is the one worth taking seriously.
Saturn is the builder of the zodiac. Discipline, structure, the long game, the things that take years and are worth years. Since it entered fiery Aries it has been asking all of us to build something new and to build it bravely.
Now it turns retrograde until early December, and the job changes.
The builder stops laying bricks and walks back down the scaffold to inspect the work. Every bolt gets checked. Every shortcut gets found.

Where the work is sound, the retest will pass and you will barely notice it. Where it is not, something will wobble, and that wobble is a gift. It shows you exactly which bolt to tighten while there is still time.
