The marshmallow inside

Most of us wear a hard outer shell.

And inside, there is a marshmallow. The soft part of you that feels everything, hopes quietly, and loves more than it ever lets on.

We spend years guarding it. We fear that if anyone saw it, we would be broken and vulnerable.

After forty years of this work I can tell you the opposite is true.

Hiding the marshmallow is what creates the vulnerability. The day you let the real you be seen, there is nothing left to expose.

Nobody can take advantage unless you hand them power over your life. And only one person should ever hold that power.

YOU.

Who gets to see the marshmallow in you?
